The Happiest Place on Earth!

My little boy loves food! Don't underestimate this 25 lb youngster. He easily puts away more food than I do everyday. To all my friends who have hungry little boys I now understand why there is a little more expense involved in feeding them. I have taught him some Sign Language and he uses the sign EAT and MORE nearly all day. When I get him in the morning he gives me a squeeze and signs EAT while pointing with his other hand towards the kitchen. I plant him in his high chair where he spends a ton of his day and a big smile always crosses his face. The joy he experiences in that chair rivals any ride at Disneyland. I don't know 1 ride that feeds you the entire time. Directly after breakfast he heads for the fridge and insists I open it to provide him with a snack to eat while he plays. Usually a string cheese suffices. He takes 2 naps and after each one he is starved and ready to eat again. His day looks somewhat like this: Wake up, breakfast, snack, play, diaper change, lunch, snack, nap, snack, play, snack, dinner, snack, play, snack and sleep. You get the idea. I really love that he has an appetite and it seems he is always game for more. We have the opposite challenge with his little sister who only likes to eat it if it is loaded with sugar. Hopefully she will catch on from her brothers example.

  2. Autumn,

I absolutely loved reading this. Owen is soooo cute. I can just picture him doing his ASL asking for "food" and "more". Hopefully Summer will learn by example that eating food is good for you. Keep writing I always read what you write even if I don't comment at first. I have actually read this post 3 different times in 3 different days, I figured it was about time I comment. Love you guys.
